Note from Craig - This is good for all the new FNG’s to attend. You may also bring along friends even though they may not want to be on FLARE. The more people we have the more rotation and breaks we can figure out.

If you’re reading this website, then you probably already know what FLARE does. However, just in case you don’t, I’m going to repeat it. FLARE provides security services to a variety of really interesting conventions around the San Francisco Bay Area. These conventions include but are not limited to Baycon, Silicon, Furrycon and others.

FLARE is currently recruiting people, please check out the below note for our requirements and benefits. Note that FLARE is a volunteer organization. In case you didn’t get it, that means we do not pay!

Do you like hitting people? Do you enjoy intimidating them? Are you the kind of person who likes being mean to others? In that case… we don’t want you. However, if you have good people skills, are over 18 and enjoy conventions, FLARE could use your help! FLARE is the volunteer organization that provides security at conventions around the bay, including this one. We are currently looking for new members to join our team.

Requirements:

• Over 18
• Able to work an 8 hour shift each day of con
• Responsible
• Good people skills
